Next up: Twitch"people want convenience. So how can they want something more convenient instead of something convoluted and complicated? I just don't get it"
-- CEO of a company that's about to lose all of its customer base.
I'd hate to see the YouTube monopoly growing even bigger though.Yeah right. Not even Twitch is stupid enough to do that.
My guess? They leaked the proposal on purpose, so they can then implement something else, and go "w-we listened to our userbase! and we're vewwy sowwy! we won't do that horrible, horrible thing, so we'll do this instead" as if that wasn't their main idea all along.
If they are stupid enough... Well, I guess we'll find out if YouTube is ready for the large influx of streamers.
True, but as it stands, Twitch is still the absolute monarch of livestreaming. If YouTube takes a piece of that pie, I wouldn't mind. Most of the biggest streamers on Twitch already have a YouTube channel anyway, so it's not as if the exodus will bring that much new viewers.I'd hate to see the YouTube monopoly growing even bigger though.
Samsung getting caught being scummy? I would almost never believe it!Didn't plan on buying a Samsung TV ever anyway.

Firefox is still must install for Android since you can actually install uBlock Origin addon to it.Is Firefox OK?
Mozilla’s privacy-heavy browser is flatlining. What it does next is crucial for the future of the web.www.wired.com
So sad that Firefox is dying and Chrome just keeps on thriving, guess most people don't really care about their privacy.
It might also be based on Chromium numbers, instead of pure Chrome... Chromium is used in tons of browsers, including Opera and Edge. That surely ramps up the numbers pretty heftily. Is Firefox OK?

Good point. It might also be based on Chromium numbers, instead of pure Chrome... Chromium is used in tons of browsers, including Opera and Edge. That surely ramps up the numbers pretty heftily.
Glad you switched! And although I don't have that problem, it does seem like a missing feature.Switched back over a while ago as well. Can't say I regret it.
I initially feared the transition because that built-in sync between desktop and mobile was just too good - but Firefox has that too.
The only downside I found was the searchbar. In Chrome, I had shortcuts for different sites (y for youtube, i for images, imdb for imdb, etc,...). Firefox has that too, but also has default ones you can't remove. It takes an external add-on to allow you to remove these shortcuts.
Well, it's not missing, it's just frustrating. You can easily add search engines, by default just not one with a "y" as keyword. Which is what I am used to.Glad you switched! And although I don't have that problem, it does seem like a missing feature.
