Now really, i'm not that afraid of viruses, i just keep some precaution when browsing the web such as blocking ads and using WOT, not entering chinese/russian websites, and even that can't keep you safe, but it's something.

Just use a good antivirus software and you'll be alright. I didn't have a virus in like 3 months now...
 
I still don't use Antivirus and I still don't have a virus.
Also, my PC runs faster because I don't have AV running in the background.

Because if you ain't got Antivirus it can't tell that you have a virus because there is no Antivirus.

Haha, i had a virus that didn't show up any signs exept for a .com program in the start menu :rofl: anyways, i haven't got a virus in 7 months now..

Yeah, because it's not like any virus leaves visible signs that it's on your computer, or anything like that, right?

On my Windows computer I use avast, have gotten a virus once I think. Usually avast blocks it, and I'm also not stupid enough to go downloading hundreds of GB of porn, keygens, cracks, etc.
I'd probably be alright without an antivirus, I use secure programs and always use Windows Update, plus I always check suspicious files that I download with something like VirusTotal.

This is absolutely true for my family.

My mom uses Yahoo and she thinks it's OK to type ALL in caps to people.

My uncle uses AOL and always emails my brother about neat websites he's found such as Froogle, and also calls himself a computer illiterate.

I own many emails at my domain and setup the POP/POP3 Mail server myself, so yeah!

I never physically BUILT a PC but I know how to do it, it isn't very hard.

Besides, i don't use Google every time i run into an issue, i use the manual that came with it.. :blink:

Personally I think this is true for some people. Lot's of people that aren't good with computers use stuff like Hotmail and Yahoo because that's all they know about, but also some people that are pros use those things too just because they prefer them to the other options
