One problem. The weight of all of that stuff is dependet on the gravity of everything. We don't know what the force of the gravity is.
As things fall rather normal, I'd say we are pretty close to 1g.
Sand and gravel does not fall rather normal. After something is removed from underneeth the 1 square meter block it will float there for just a small time. After that it will fall at a pretty slow rate.
The player falls at a rather normal speed, aswell as dropped items.
You do not know the weight of the player. As for the items. No they don't. Have you ever seen a stone which should way 2691+kg drop that slowly?
Let's focus on the weight of the player. How does that matter? Only the air friction matters.
That's not true. Let's take a book and a rock which has the identical shape of this book. Let them fall and you will see that the weight will matter in this case. The air friction will only affect the terminal velocity.
But that still has no affect onto our test subject "Steve" falling at a rather normal speed.
It does since we do not know his weight and/or the gravitational pull the minecraft world has.
So you are implying that Steve is either extremely heavy and the gravity extremely low or vice versa. Complicated much?
Actually I am implying both. The gravitational pull is low. That's something you can figure out since Gold, Iron etc have a given mass. Now for steve to fall at the same rate as the objects or faster he must be pretty damn heavy.
Also, not complicated much.
