Minecraft

Just done some reading and apparently this 15 year old kid who developed hey0 (meh, all young people do is spend their time on the pc) has quit the project and the mod is not working with the latest Minecraft update. So I headed on to the bukkit project and it seems like that's a little far from completion and those guys also tried to fix the hey0 guy's mod but said the code is too crappy to get anything done.

So it pretty much looks like minecraft is left without any good server mods? there is stuff like MCadmin and kmod as far as I read but I'm too unfamiliar with them.

@Maffia Epic trap is EPIC.

@Andre, damn that sucks...
I'm basically paying the server for nothing now lol.

Cancel it until Bukkit comes out.

Also we may switch hosts to whatever CheeseJaguar is on, his is obviously a lot better, but he told me it was quite expensive, so maybe not. ($22 a month for 10 slots o.O)

I'd seriously rig the server up on my box but the last time I did it I found it quite memory extensive although it says that like a 6-slot server needs 512mb of ram or sooo... And since I run a SA-MP server on it (often 2 of them) and apaches, MySQL servers, etc. I don't think it would be good for it. But I could actually get better specs for the server if I was to throw in some more money every month and run it nicely, but I'm afraid of a general failure and due to a lack of time I don't think it would be the best to have that box with a lot of stuff on it to manage, don't want to let you down just.

But there's a development version of bukkit out, some people say it is quite good.

No thanks.
