Gameplay makes a game, not the graphics. Also it'd be impossible for Minecraft to actually have modern graphics because of the massive randomly generated world, and all the stuff you do in it. You'd need a computer better than yours.

Trust me or anyone here that has the game, it's fucking addicting lol

I wouldn't mind if the rocks etc had some more and better textures.
 
I think the game's intention is to be a block game. Though I recently read that Notch has a new designer in his team.
 
I don't want that Minecraft's graphic would change too much. I like they way it is now. And anyways, I always have been big fan of 8 bit stuff etc. like that :biggrin:
