I'm actually considering getting one of these after I get a new PC
 
I'm considering a PS4 actually... My dorm's internet connection is not great, so it'll be good to have something that can play offline.
And on top of that, my mates are all planning to buy a PS4 as well. That doesn't mean that I'll buy whatever they buy, it means I can play online against them.

And I thought that the Xbox1 couldn't play reselled games?

The xbox1 only requires an internet connection the first time you set it up.

Not sure what I would pick, but I won't get one near release date anyway.
 
PS4 still looks like it has the upper hand because of the initial pricing point and the fact that the eye is unnecessary. Also it's literally better hardware. Other than that they're much closer now than before microsoft's decision to reverse everything :P. Very sensible decision by them there. It's a little late but better late then never.
