Olympic opening ceremonies are usually pretty fucking extravagant and horribly uninteresting to me, but I gotta admit, suddenly hearing that GOJIRA put down a fucking awesome performance was a welcome surprise.



It's also awfully difficult to find a version of the performance without commentary, but with video. It's either audio only, or being forced to hear some twat talk over some of the sickest riffs I've heard in a while.

Well that certainly was unexpected.
They blew it on the rest of the ceremony imo though.

Honestly, reading the explanation for all the different moments made me go "oh, yeah, that's kinda neat."
But the problem is that if you have to explain it... well, if you don't, it just looks kinda goofy.
