Just signed up here on the mave site and every single topic and post is unread, is there a button to read them all or? im quite confused

Because you just registered, every topic and post on the forum is 'unread'.
You can go ahead and click 'Mark ALL messages as read' here: https://forums.themavesite.com/index.php?action=unread;all;start=0
This will clear the entire list. From now on you can check that page to discover every new post or topic posted since you cleared the list.
You can also use https://forums.themavesite.com/index.php?action=unread for recent unread topics/posts.
