I really can't see any other reason to do this, especially the way that she was walking. It wasn't an crash, as there are no cars. She's (seemingly) completely unaware of the danger she's in, so I doubt she did it on accident.

Yeah you're probably right. Most likely she's under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
