SUDBURY — A 65-year-old woman was run over by a minivan Monday morning in what Greater Sudbury Police describe as a "most unusual" accident.
Police said the woman was in the minivan when she put the vehicle in reverse, opened the driver's-side door to adjust her seat and, at the same time, reached for an ice scraper.
The woman fell out of her seat while the minivan reverse and was knocked under the car by the open door.
The investigation revealed the van actually ran over the woman's head.
She was taken to hospital for treatment, but does not appear to be seriously injured.
