What computers you use in school?

My school is pretty big, in each room like 16-20 computers. We got:

3 rooms with iMacs, (in 1 of them the internet is dead for a month so far and nobody knows WhyTF)
1 with Dual Cores and XP by Fujitsu-Siemens (these ones wins)
1 with celeron D's and XP
1 with Dual Cores and Vista (this one is kinda complicated because they got a main server, each student can log on his account on every pc and it never works)
1 with celeron D's and XP (server stuph like ^this one up there, sometimes works)
1 with Celerons and it SUCKS and they got old CRT monitors. Always when we are there my eyes hurt after a hour)
1 I've never been to and Idk what's inside but i saw black cases and flatscreen monitors so i suspect some dual cores stuff

And in library we got like 20 iMacs and 20 PCs with various specs and OSs (vista and XP) (only 4 of them are shit and without LCD moniturs)

We usually work on XPs and (if we finished work or the teacher makes "free lesson") play Starcraft or Warcraft 3 :biggrin:

Oh and kickass fast optical fiber internet with usually 40-60 Megabits per second (downloads goes with a speed like 3Megabytes per second from most servers)

The library also has like 15 or 20 good computers that u can use.

Also we got around 30 projectors <:biggrin:
 
Some PCs, fast, LCD Screen. Can't DXDIAG because you have no adminrights so you even can't use the Taskmanager ;_; AND THEY USE IE :sick:

We also have ~20 Laptops, really nice, but you have to wait a bit to connect to the WLAN.

Obviously... You could crash the system. At our school we can't even right click...

Haha so does my school, but I downloaded Opera portable onto my account file and I use that :tongue:


The computers at my school are

The ones in the top pic are pretty powerful, I had one rendering in Adobe Premiere and 3Ds Max at the same time and both renders were pretty fast. The lower pic ones are shit, but good enough to run Photoshop and an internet browser at the same time.

No, not free. Kinda hard to give like 800 / 900 people a free 1000 euro laptop.
But we use our laptop in almost every lesson. We barely got any books cause its all on the laptop :)

Same here, no right clicking :/
All computers (except teachers laptops) are using IE, teachers have mozzilla...

We have about 4 - 5 computer rooms with shit computers, forget what they are but they are really slow.

Each student has 50MB of download per TERM (FFS atleast 1GB per student would be nice), I have already used my 50MB using my proxy :) but now I am banned from the computer network because a teacher found me using the proxy and I was on ED and 4chan (porn infested D:)

Also there are student laptops but they are hard to get, a teacher has to refer you for one or they just bring them to class.

We cannot access any of C:// and basically if we want to control any of our files we have to use a toolbox that some douche made.

If any USB devices are plugged in, it will scan for viruses, oldmate put his USB and the computer shut down because it had a virus D:
 
We have macs and good XP's in school, that's about it.
But everyone in my class has his own laptop.

Yeah, there are 2 rooms in my school with those computers, and there is 1 room, and the library which has Dual core I think @2.5ghz.. i don't exactly remember..
