I won't deny that Amy Adams being in this convinced me even more to give this a try.
Just finished the last episode last night and I'm so satisfied. This series had me on the hook the entire time.
Warning: this is not for the faint-hearted. Contains a lot of fucked up shit: traumas, scary flashbacks, blood,...
Trust me: there's some fucked up shit in Sharp Objects.
But I really do recommend this series if you're looking for talented acting, well-written dialog, and a crime story.
Side note: the soundtrack is also insanely good. I downloaded all the songs and have been listening to them since I finished the series.
