Because
A) Nintendo is a "minority", because they're from Japan. It's not as much fun to insult a company if it's not a "cis white male" company.
B) Nintendo doesn't give a flying fuck. If it doesn't hurt sales, they don't care.

Probably B, but fun fact: Japan is also incredibly racist, especially towards black people.

I'm guessing that factors in with the "don't give a fuck" attitude. Some SJW comes complaining, Nintendo and the rest of Japan just go "so what?"
