Don't get a 64bit, get a 32bit As I told your brother, 64 doesn't run certain programmes, so your better off getting 32bit Ok.

First of all its 32bit and atm i run 64 bit and it runs quite fine

Yeh I mixed numbers up, But ask your brother, about why 32 is better then 64

I would get like 1-1.5tb instead of 500gb. And you should defenitely add up two more cores to make it quad like mine. And your CPU definitely is faster than mine. And I would upgrade to like 22" LCD for maximum experience and hawtness. Oh, and Windows 7 is hawt.

By the way what's the difference between 32 and 64-bit? I don't know which I am running but I could choose.

You should take 64-bit, because 64 bit is the feature and there isn't any reason to stay with 32-bit.

Advantages:
- Recognizes more RAM (like Maffia said)
- Applications can use more than 2 GB ram (In a 32-bit system every application can't use more than 2 GB ram)
- Better performance (theoretical) because the computer can process more data and instructions
- some irrelevant advantages

I'm running 32-bit. What can I do to change it without causing file loss or anything?

You can upgrade from a 32 bit windows to another 32 bit windows only. If you want to upgrade from 32 bit to 64 bit you have to reinstall everything with the new 64 bit windows. But check before if there are 64 drivers available for every of your hardware components.
