Gonna replay (and re-mod) San Andreas after I finish IV 100%Stybar said:This is why I love GTA on the PC :3
Also try to find alternative mods, Mave. Hilarity ensued. For example, I've modded my SA, and replaced my Hydra with a X-Wing. Also replaced the Sanchez with a Speeder bike. And I've replaced the baseball bat with a lightsaber.
You replace existing cars.RockStar248 said:Did you edit the default cars in the game, or add them in as individual cars?
Lol, thats the cheap way, I add new carsMave said:You replace existing cars.RockStar248 said:Did you edit the default cars in the game, or add them in as individual cars?
And how many do you add before you only see taxis?RockStar248 said:Lol, thats the cheap way, I add new carsMave said:You replace existing cars.RockStar248 said:Did you edit the default cars in the game, or add them in as individual cars?![]()
Only seeing taxi's is a memory error. You can fix it somehow, I forgot exactly how, but it takes a pretty massive machine to run GTA like that. Probably since it uses a shitload of RAM. Mine couldn't handle it, so I cheated and got a trainer that spawned cars for me :\ Never used it much, only when I wanted a car that's NOT a cab.Mave said:And how many do you add before you only see taxis?RockStar248 said:Lol, thats the cheap way, I add new carsMave said:You replace existing cars.RockStar248 said:Did you edit the default cars in the game, or add them in as individual cars?![]()
GTA IV is a shitty port. It's a huge resource hug.Stybar said:Only seeing taxi's is a memory error. I have 16GB RAM and 3 dedicated VRAM, and still when I install +6 cars, the taxi bug :/Stybar said:Only seeing taxi's is a memory error. Yes, because GTA thinks it has to load to much polygons. So it thinks it's hogging to much RAM, and it displays only taxi's to save it. Even if you have enough RAM, it still panics. The fix is a mod that takes this security away, letting GTA think it's limit of RAM it can use is much higher. That is why the creators of that mod suggest you use it on a heavy PC, since the new limit is high.Mave said:I have 16GB RAM and 3 dedicated VRAM, and still when I install +6 cars, the taxi bug :/Stybar said:Only seeing taxi's is a memory error.
