Movies: General Discussion

I recently watched the latest Mad Max movie. I'm surprised that the rating dropped so little compared to the previous installment. The amount of “bad” green screen increased significantly, and the action decreased significantly as well. Although, overall, the story is well developed.
Welcome to 2025 Hollywood.

This is just awful.

  • Avengers Doomsday
  • Jumanji 3
  • The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping

  • Jackass 5 (might watch for shits and giggles)

  • Digger (might watch)

Trying to go see The Odyssey in IMAX 70mm is impossible. Completely sold out until the furthest day I can select (which is end of August).

Finally gonna see The Odyssey tomorrow. Regular IMAX sadly, 70mm IMAX is impossible to get tickets for.

Saw At Close Range (1986) last Saturday.

Sean Penn AND Christopher Walken? This has to be a great movie was my initial motivation.
Movie had some great acting, but the story was lacking. 6/10.

Following my strategy I'm not keeping any of these, I only keep movies that I've rated at least a 7.
Decided that Breakdown does deserve a 7/10.

Next up: Bloodsport, maybe this one will make it to a solid 7.
