This has been confirmed now by Robert Bowling.. (Community Manager at IW). And IW doesn't decide the price... As far as I know, Activision is the producer, not IW.
IW makes the whole game. So stuff like Maps, scripts, basically the whole game; IW = Developing team. Activision pays for all the costs in development, decides financial stuff, and puts a price tag on it. Activision is the one taking a risk to put in money in this product. But when its a title like Call of Duty, no matter what price, people WILL buy it. So that's why the price is so high.GPow69 said:What does Activision even do in the development?
