Kid survives shotgun wound to chest

About two years ago a family I know survived a home invasion. A group of unknown thugs kicked the door in all holding guns. They put a gun to the back of the mother's head with a couch pillow between it as a silencer, and robbed them of everything they could. When the sister went to hide the younger brother behind her, she was shot through the hand and into her abdomen at 3 feet from a .38. A foot and a half of intestines were removed, but she survived. The oldest brother got a chunk of his ear taken off by another shooter, as it grazed by his head and into the hall bathroom shower stall. The police never found out a thing. I was at their home at 10:30pm, the shooting took place at 11:15pm. I bought a shotgun afterwards. And now own 5 weapons and have a permit to carry concealed weapons including combat knives. Some people don't value life like we like to hope they do... :cry3:
