Been trying to play GTA V lately, but once again my PC just keeps having trouble running the game even remotely smooth. At first it's fine for 30min to 1 hr or so and then it starts to stutter fps keeps dropping. Feels bad.

Going to invest a bit more for a new HDD and get RAM up to 16gb I guess.

Are you still using the "almost dead" HDD? That could be the culprit.
No idea how much RAM GTA V needs, but I thought 8GB was enough.

Yea, I still have to use it. :biggrin: Have to figure out when is the best time for me to buy a new one (that 500GB SSD one we were talking about in Discord).

For RAM I guess 8GB is still enough, although I would like to upgrade at some point. New SSD is a first priority though.

Yeah, definitely go for the 500GB SSD (unless you plan to use +400GB of your disk constantly, SSD's don't like being almost completely full)
 
Getting random crashes during random moments while playing online... Really frustrating.

Doesn't sound fun at all, Mauri, for you it's 200% the failing HDD.

If we could get a few TMS members online together someday again, that'd be fun!

I tried verifying the files through Steam, didn't help. This morning I moved the installation through Steam from my HDD to SSD, also didn't help. Checked the files again, which again didn't help...
Next crash I'm googling the logged errors.

And I'll always be down for a proper meetup.
 
I'm having the problem of textures loading waaay to slow sometimes. Although this appears much more often in Singleplayer.
I don't quite understand why, I get pretty decent FPS.
It might be because my RAM is running in single channel mode? Or because the game is installed on my HDD (SSD is too small).

Also, the loading times in general are massive... no matter if singleplayer or online.

Aside from the technical stuff, I NEED CASH! I want that fucking opressor Mk2 Bike it looks fun as shit!

Never had the texture loading problem, so don't know what to advice there.

The loading times are shit indeed. Hopefully R* will solve this with GTA VI.
