Had to look this up myself because I was completely out of the loop.

Macklemore said some pro-Palestine things at the first 2 stops on the tour where he is opening for Ed Sheeran. Some billionaires then got together to tell Ed Sheeran that Macklemore would not be allowed to play at those stadiums any more, because they don't like someone pointing out a genocide. Ed proceeded to drop Macklemore from the lineup rather than cancel those dates.

TLDR; Macklemore said FREE PALESTINE, Sheeran got told to dump him, which he did. Now he receives global backlash. He tried to post about it, but had to turn off comments on his social media.
