Control computer without touch it

This kind of technology isn't exactly complicated or new, but I found it quite impressive. After making this video, I found that the green tape around my finger wasn't actually necessary, but oh well:

The webcam detects my finger and leads the cursor accordingly. My example of it's usage is kind of stupid but imagine something like, flipping through the channels on your TV using your cat as the remote.

That's pretty nice Zez, but unless it becomes faster then the regular mouse and keyboard I won't use this.
