Audi, Porsche have decided to join Formula One, VW CEO says

BERLIN, May 2 (Reuters) - Volkswagen's (VOWG_p.DE) premium brands Audi and Porsche have decided to join Formula One, Volkswagen Chief Executive Herbert Diess said on Monday.

There has been speculation for several months that the two brands were in negotiation over partnerships to enter the highest class of international motor racing.

Diess, speaking on YouTube, said that Porsche's preparations were a little more concrete.

Conflicting for me.

I love Ferrari in F1. I love Porsche in general. I don't like Red Bull a lot.

So, I'm guessing Porsche is going to supply the engines for RB, instead of Honda? And Audi for McLaren? So, they'll be competitors, but still belong to the same company? Weird.

I thought: Porsche will provide engines for RB.
And unlikely but: Audi will buy McLaren's license and also use Porsche's engines.
