Macs are only good if you have:
1. a large disposable income that you are willing to throw away on a computer
AND
2. a need for a good graphics/video/music editing programs

Or if you just want to brag and be like ''OMFG I HAVE A MAC!''

Then 10 seconds later ''Wait... where are all the programs? Oh well, i'll just install windows on it and boot it on mac when i want to look cool with my friends''

Anyways, once someone shows me the benefits of having a mac over a windows PC I'll consider changing my opinion.

Simplicity, accessibility, ease of use, very portable (Assuming we're talking about a macbook), still quite a bit of processing power, and a very very sexy display.

Well, you can convert ubuntu into a mac look using MacBuntu and it actually looks realistic, but i guess this isn't the case

None of that is worth the extra money though.
For the price of a mac I can get a beast gaming PC w/ i7 extreme.
