I liked the first 4 seasons. Then it got sucky really fast.
 
The Nintendo64 example sums why I don't really think TBBT is funny. The joke is that someone would actually play n64 games on an emulator which in a somewhat inverted world would be that the joke is that someone enjoys playing sport X.

Half the time their jokes don't even make sense, I cringe when I see people watching the show and laughing out loud.
