Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, the publishing house handling distribution for the developers of both the new Mortal Kombat game and Batman: Arkham City, announced today that they’ve signed a new deal with Epic Games that enables development houses under their brand (including Rocksteady and NetherRealm) to use Unreal Engine 3.
WBIE noted that Rocksteady and NetherRealm will be using the engine exclusively through 2014 on all of their new projects. Both companies have extensive experience with the engine, of course, so that shouldn’t be too much trouble.
