Madison Heights— A Madison Heights restaurant served a 15-month-old a small amount of alcohol that was mislabeled as apple juice, police said tonight.
Police were called around 4:30 p.m. today to the Applebee's Restaurant at 1275 14 Mile after a toddler drank a small amount of juice and the parents suspected the child was acting differently. Police checked the drink and it did contain a small amount of alcohol.
Police believe a leftover mixed drink combination was mislabeled as apple juice. The incident appears to be an accident.
A request for comment was not immediately returned from Applebee's corporate headquarters.
