TIL Esc stops a GIF

How could I've not known this for all those years O_O
Upon pressing the escape button, a GIF stops at the current frame.

Just try it...

I can't be the only one that didn't know this??

Tried it in Chrome and it didn't work, tried it in Safari and worky work.
