^ Yes this.

Also if you want to record at any FPS you can use avidemo. But that's a pain in the ass :P > Nevermind this, it's not worth it in TF2 and a demo + FRAPS should be just fine.

^ You could, but the lower you set the FPS, the laggier your video seems :\
Demos are an extremely useful tool if you're planning to make clips longer than one short frag or something :)

I meant raise the FPS that fraps records at :P

Then your in-game FPS is lower :\ (Resulting in worse gameplay and possibly also choppy video)

The higher the FPS FRAPS records at, the more resources it takes, so the lower FPS you get while actually playing. If you try to record at 120 FPS you'll be playing at like 30, and the video you're capturing will be somewhere in between those, but you'll also be sucking because of how laggy 30 FPS is while trying to kill :P

Thats why you pick an FPS that your system can handle. The default fraps FPS is 30, much lower than medium-high end computers can actually record at on a game like TF2. If you raise it to something like 60-80 both the video and your gameplay will be smoother.
