Rockstar Games has been extorted by a hacking group "ShinyHunters"; they're being held ransom until April 14.

The hacking group is threatening to release its financial data, player spending, marketing timelines, contracts with companies.

Source code is safe for now as it’s on a different cloud platform at Rockstar, this hack is corporate focused. It would expose costs to GTAVI, previous games and potentially leak the entire marketing timeline for GTAVI.

Neither of the affected third party companies host game data specifically. Anodot is a business intelligence/monitoring company and Snowflake is a cloud data broker of sorts.

nowflake is used by many major companies and is also how Ticketmaster, AT&T and even a Santander bank got some personal data breached.(en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snowflake…)
