Pioneer has always been known primarily for their car audio, professional DJ’ing, and home theater product lines. This past week, they added computer speakers to that list with a pair of products: a 2.0 system called the S-MM301 and a 2.1 system dubbed the S-MM751RU. Both appear to be solid products. The 2.0 set is $49 and the 2.1 is $129.

If these are anywhere near the quality of their car audio products, Logitech may finally have a bit of real competition aside from Altec Lansing and Klipsch.

I hate the look of the satellites, the grille is just horrible, and the sub doesn't look that great either. I bet they sound alright, but I'll stick with Logitech for now :3

^ Yes, definitely. I wanted one but I had no idea how to set it up to work with typical wall outlets and etc, and my dad told me it wouldn't work anyway :<
I'm happy with my Z-5500s though, they're amazing. Some people compare them to car systems, hell some people even use them in their car :D

From what ive heard Pioneer is dropping behind much like JLB or whatever that company is. Some other smaller companies are slowly starting to put out better power, some at better prices too. Or at least that what my mechanic buddy tells me :\

I saw that they have some Z-5500s here in some pubs for regular use. Damn the bass <3

You can set it up in your house afaik. My cousin has it set up nicely in his house. He cut out holes in the wall near the bottom of the floor to hide them and it turned out really nicely. Only con is that he can't raise the volume above 1/2way because it becomes waaaay too loud :P

That would be awesome. I'd probably fuck it up though. Maybe some day :P

I imagine the news...
