Narcos renewed for two more seasons
Narcos may have shown the demise of its biggest villain, but the series will continue for a third and fourth season.
Despite Pablo Escobar (Wagner de Moura) having met his fate in the season 2 finale, Netflix has renewed the addictive drug trafficking drama for another two years.
The show’s second season was unveiled to Netflix subscribers on Friday. The final scene — spoiler alert — suggested that DEA agent Javier Peña (Pedro Pascal) was going to shift his attention to another Columbian gang, the Cali Cartel. “I think that there’s a lot of story left to be told in Colombia,” executive producer Eric Newman told EW. “… This show has always been about cocaine. We purposely did not call the show Pablo Escobar or Medellin … If somebody wants another season of the show, we would sit down and draw from the pretty massive amount of real estate and research that we’ve done and do something kind of cool.” Check out the full interview with Newman for his thoughts on season 2.
