Marijuana plants in the front yard tip police to grow operation
CONSTANTINE, MI-- St. Joseph County Sheriff's deputies responded to the 62000 block of Shaffer Road at around midnight Sunday to speak with a man about a felonious assault, and observed what appeared to be marijuana plants growing in the yard.
Deputies got a search warrant for the home and property and located a marijuana grow operation, according to a news release from the sheriff's department.
Several marijuana plants, processed marijuana and a firearm were seized from the home, authorities said.
Deputies are seeking charges on a 52-year-old Constantine man for operating a drug house, felony firearms, manufacturing of marijuana and possession of marijuana.
