Lulz Security reared their ugly, pre-pubescent heads for the first time in three weeks today, breaking into The Sun and publishing a (poorly written) fake article proclaiming that media mogul Rupert Murdoch had died of palladium intake. So much for “retiring”, eh?
Murdoch, of course, has much larger concerns right now. His media empire, News Corps., is crumbling under the pressure of an increasingly ugly scandal involving cell phone hacking by reporters at News of the World – a tabloid publication that Murdoch decided to close a few weeks ago despite the fact that it’s been around since 1843.
Murdoch is set to testify in front of British Parliament tomorrow and he also may be losing his job. As if that weren’t enough, the whistle blower who brought the story to the BBC was also mysteriously found dead today. Oh, and Anonymous says that they hacked both The Sun and News of the World, stole their emails, and they plan to publish it all tomorrow.
