Jodie Foster joins 'House of Cards' Season 2 as Director
"House of Cards" has tapped "Elysium" actress Jodie Foster to direct an episode of Season 2, according to Vulture.
Sources tell the site that Foster is currently in Baltimore where the Netflix political drama films, although no further details on Foster's episode are available at this time. The Oscar-winning actress also directed the third episode of "Orange is the New Black's" freshman season, so clearly her relationship with Netflix continues to flourish.
Foster made her directorial debut back in 1998 with an episode of HBO's "Tales From the Darkside." Her most recent theatrical project behind the camera was 2011's "The Beaver," starring Mel Gibson.
"House of Cards," which stars Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright, has been nominated for nine Emmys. It will return to Netflix in 2014.
