Security researcher Jay Radcliffe is a diabetic who is connected to an insulin pump and glucose monitor at all times. He’s also the man who recently discovered that the pumps are vulnerable to hackers via their wireless communication protocol.
At the Black Hat security conference, this past week, Radcliffe shared his findings in his presentation, “Hacking Medical Devices for Fun and Insulin: Breaking the Human SCADA System.” In short, he’s proven that you can kill someone with a computer.
