If you listen to the audio of the video you can hear that:
The boys stayed up late to watch Texas Chainsaw Massacre
[since they were so scared] they went to sleep huddled together in the same bed w/ all the lights on in the house, [which is why they are in the same bed]

Tbh, I don't see anything that suggests this is a fake. The reaction to the chainsaw looks real, and chainsaws are fcking loud, even if I didn't watch Texas Chainsaw Massacre the night before, I would be scared as hell if someone started one right next to me while I was sleeping.
