While trying to find out again why some people got random virus errors on the forum, I found some weird shit uploaded as attachment.


Therefore I disabled attachments on the forum, after googling a while after whether it's good to have attachments.


I do not know if there is a connection between this and the Avira virus alerts, but to be safe I decided to disable all attachments.

Please use external upload services in the future.

PS; If you know that you already used attachments somewhere in a post, you better re-upload them somewhere.
Otherwise people won't be able to download your file(s).
 
I'm still getting this virus message but only on Forum Games and usually in Rate the girl above you.
 
^ Maybe that's because in the 'Rate the girl above you' topic, all the images are hosted somewhere else?
Like on a bad host or something.
 
One moment, I'll try going to the first page and second to confirm this.
 
Confirmed, This only happens in the last few pages of Rate the Girl above you.

As i said in the other post, my guess was right, It's external images from a bad reputation website that's triggering this..

The way SMF embeds images in HTML makes Avira think it's some type of malware from a bad reputation website.
 
So this is finally sorted out.
Phew I'm so glad. All I want to know now is what site is causing this exactly.
 
I can't exactly determine which image/site is causing this warning, When i go to the images i get no warning but when i see them embedded in a forum the warning comes up.
