Four years after they acquired GPU manufacturer ATI, the folks at AMD are finally going to unveil their “fusion” chips at this year’s CES.
In a direct strike against the Intel Atom, which has dominated the netbook market for the past few years, AMD is rolling out chips that they claim have better CPU performance, much better GPU performance with integrated DirectX 11 support, dedicated 1080p HD video processing and HDMI out, and “all day” battery life that can hit 10 or more hours.
Do want. Do want in a big way.
