Blizzard invited dozens of reporters and bloggers from around the video game industry to their headquarters in California last week to show them the latest build of Diablo III and talk about some of the game’s features. Here’s a quick rundown of the highlights:

* The game requires a persistent Internet connection – even for single player.
* The “real money” auction house has been confirmed.
* Mods will not be supported or even allowed.
* The multiplayer beta is right around the corner.

Was addicted to Diablo 1 and Diablo 2 and im really looking forward to D3, but the whole online only and no mods... Forever gone now are the days of open Battle.net :(

Well I wont be getting this game.. The online shop thing has lots of fees, and its only another way for Blizzard to make money.
You need to pay a fees to list the item, and when it gets sold, you pay a winners fee, and when you get the money from your Blizzard account into your paypal, there's a fee for that. Also, none of it is refundable at any moment.

Apparently you get a certain amount of free listings every week. But still I agree, this system is going to flop hard.
