My review

Since I love spaghetti westerns and Clint Eastwood, of course I had to watch this western in which he stars and was directed by him.
I was looking forward to the kind of western I like. You know, where Eastwood is the good guy, and takes out the bad guys.
This movie is something else though, perfect example is how Eastwood rapes a woman in the first 15 minutes. Yikes.

I do get that he got whipped "to death" by the bad guys, and that the townspeople did nothing. This is why he takes revenge on them.
Did like the name change of the town, and the pranks he pulled on the town.
My understanding is that this was one of the first westerns to portray the main character as a bad guy. Which was revolutionary at the time.
The opening and closing scenes are bad-ass.

Conclusion

Is it a good movie? Yes, I can't argue with that. It's just not a western for my taste.

6/10

Deleted the movie, will not re-watch.
