While I understand Spencer's point about being ripped off, I very much disagree with it.
If they took the entire song and used that, than I would have agreed... but as it is, they took a small, 5 second sample, and ran with that instead. IMO, that's not ripping off, that's... well, sampling. They didn't straight up copy his work, they modified it, changed it, and turned it into something else.
