GTA publisher Take-Two confirms purchase of Codemasters in deal worth nearly $1bn

Take-Two has agreed on a near-$1bn pricetag to snap up British racing giant Codemasters.

Take-Two announced today it had shook hands on a $994m (£759m) deal which is expected to be completed in spring 2021.

Codemasters will join fellow Take-Two-owned labels such as 2K, Rockstar Games and Private Division.

That's pretty big! Franchises like F1, Dirt, Dirt Rally, Grid,... are now all T2 owned.

No shit. People are currently pissed about 2K dropping a second seasonpass for BL3, and my bet is that they were pressured to do so by Take-Two.

I won't be surprised if the F1 games are gonna be made in such a way, that each team becomes it's own DLC.
