But I don't think that has anything to do with the new feature tbh.
This has been there for a long time already and it seems that it is just for advertisemet purposes

Yes, but that's when they want to advertise a product, nothing to do with the Recommendation System. Tho I once got a message saying that they implemented the system. But only once.
