With the Javelin glitch fixed, online Modern Warfare 2 matches on the Xbox 360 are beginning to see two new glitches, the so-called "infinite ammo" glitch and the "private match" glitch (via 1UP). The "infinite ammo" glitch, true to its name, gives players never-ending ammunition, and also cedes actions like reloading or gun cocking (for grenade launchers and shotguns).
The private match glitch was acknowledged by Infinity Ward's creative strategist Robert Bowling in a short forum post:
Update on the matchmaking glitch that has players joining hacked Private Matches with custom rulesets when attempting to search for public games; we're aware and currently working on a fix.
In related news, PC ModWar 2 players may have mod tools headed their way as Bowling -- responding to a question about dedicated servers and mod tools on his Twitter -- teased, "nothing on Dedicated Servers, but there may be some Mod Tools news coming in the future."
While not a confirmation, the comment at least gives modders hope that the game will be opened up to community editing. We'll keep you posted on both the glitch fixes and the mod tools as details emerge.
