Speaking to fans late yesterday, Markus “Notch” Persson said that the Xbox 360 port of Minecraft will not be developed by the Mojang team. He wouldn’t say what studio is handling the job but did say that they’ve done console games in the past.
Notch went on to say that you can play the game without a Kinect controller but that it’s being designed with the Kinect in mind. He was quoted as saying, “With the power of Kinect you will feel closer to your game than evar [sic] and it also saves kittens.”
