Hey guise, recently my laptop has been shutting itself off, and not responding, I have to take the power cable out, turn it back on and it gives me a message saying the laptop was over 90D Celcius. Generally all I have to be doing is MSN, Skype & Internet surfing.

I don't know whats going on and I can't play any games :/
 
Had the same with my previous laptop... What worked for me was cleaning everything on the inside (fan, keyboard, motherboard) with canned air. Also make sure you use it on a flat surface like a table or a desk. If you want to use in your lap, use one of these. They're not that expensive (~10$)

No, as long as it's an hard flat surface, so the fan on the underside of the laptop can get air.
 
Please provide more information about your laptop (model, year, specs,..)
 
If you don't have your warrenty anymore I'd suggest you open it up to check if there is any dust in it.
 
There is a 2 year warranty on it.

I bought it this time last year.

Oh ;fuuu;. Same happened to my Pavilion, it was overheating all the time, even after i let it check from the HP support..
It always been on a DESK, never on a sofa nor bed.
 
Oh yeah, the extra fans have helped I can game now, it doesn't heat up and turn off, just got to find an air duster, so ty guise
